Hi! I'm Nikoleta, and I created Δέσε Κορδόνια ("Tie Your Laces") for anyone who loves running or wants to bring it into their life.

Why I created Δέσε Κορδόνια

Running came into my life almost by accident — and I never let it go.

I'm not a professional coach or a nutritionist. I'm a person who runs, reads, researches and shares what she learns. I did think about coaching once, but in the end programming won me over. That's how Δέσε Κορδόνια became my way of bringing together two things I love: technology and running.

Running didn't just become a hobby for me. It helped me change my habits, face difficulties — among them my migraines — and see everyday life with more optimism. I wanted to share all of that somehow — and that's how this website was born. If I manage to inspire someone even a little through it, this page has achieved its goal.

There's one more reason I created this page. I too was once a person searching for reliable information to improve as a runner without having to pay a coach. Since running is a hobby for me and not a profession, I wanted to build a place where that information is free and easy to access.

How I work

Before any article is published, I spend time reading scientific studies, guidelines from international organisations and reliable sources. I try to turn that information into something simple, understandable and useful for every runner.

Still, the content of this site doesn't replace the advice of a health professional or a coach.
